Wilderness First Aid
Will you be hiking, camping or participating in outdoor activities this summer? This course will teach you how to respond to an emergency if you are in an area where help may be delayed in reaching you.
This course is based on the Boy Scouts of America Wilderness First Aid curriculum and doctrine and includes training on what to do in case of: head, neck or spinal injuries; heat related emergencies; hypothermia; altitude-related illnesses; allergies and anaphylaxis; burns; bone and joint injuries; wounds and infections.
Participants should be 14 years old. Learn advanced skills to be used in an emergency in remote environments. Learn to conduct primary and secondary assessments with a variety of injuries and illnesses. CPR for Adult and Pediatric is a prerequisite to take Wilderness and Remote First Aid.
